When we dive into the paranormal on this podcast, we explore people’s greatest fears. So we’d be remiss if we skipped over one of Robin’s greatest fears: mirrors. On the surface, they’re really not that scary — just a reflective pane with which to check if you have spinach in your teeth. (You do.) But, what if one day you look in the mirror and see something that, well, shouldn’t be there?
That’s what we’re exploring today! Poogan’s Porch in Charleston, South Carolina is known to be haunted by two ghosts: an adorable little doggy named Poogan, and Zoe St. Amand, an elderly woman who appears in the bathroom, often seen in the mirror by women washing their hands. We dive into Zoe’s story (and Poogan’s too!) before reading firsthand accounts of terrifying mirror stories from Reddit.
But first, Zoey has a Something Southern for us: the Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas.
